From discounted hotel stays to price reductions on tours and free cruise perks and upgrades, here are hot travel deals for the coming year that can be booked right now.

January through March is wave season in the cruise industry, when travel agents and cruise companies try to book as many passengers as possible for the year ahead, enticing travelers with sales and deals. Cunard has an “Upgrades on Us” promotion for cruises taking place throughout 2020, 2021, and even 2022. It includes free cabin upgrades, 50% reduced deposits, and free gratuities.

Just an hour north of New York City, The Time Nyack is a stylish property in what was once a factory warehouse. With its heated pool, fitness center, and onsite signature restaurant, The Time Nyack makes for an ideal weekend retreat. Book by April 30 directly with the hotel and save up to 20% when reserving stays through the same date.

For those in search of a little soul-warming sunshine, Chaa Creek, on a 465-acre nature preserve in Belize, offers a Winter Warmer package that includes 20% off accommodations in its signature luxury cottage collection, full breakfasts, guided visits to a variety of exhibits, canoeing on the Macal River, and guided bird watching. The offer is valid for stays up to Feb. 14. Too soon? There’s a special that includes 20% off accommodations for stays June 1-20.
The booking price for a cruise vacation typically does not include such things as Wi-Fi access, onboard drinks, and daily gratuities. Through Feb. 29, however, Princess Cruises offers a special opportunity to book fares that include all of these extras. The special is available on sailings of three days or longer departing in April or afterward. The sale applies to all stateroom categories.

Nearly two dozen Rhode Island hotels, including many of the state’s iconic luxury hotels, are part of the state’s first Hotel Week. Taking place Jan. 18-31, the event provides prix fixe rates on hotel rooms ranging from $100 to $400 nightly, or up to 40% off. Some of the notable participating properties include Ocean House; Weekapaug Inn; and The Break in Narragansett. Bargain hunters will also find plenty of hotels offering $100 nightly rates, and many participating hotels are throwing in amenities such as spa treatments, room upgrades, and activities.
For all the ski bunnies out there on the hunt for bargains, Waterville Valley Resort offers the Ski & Stay Midweek deal — discounted lift tickets through April 3 for stays during any non-holiday Sunday through Thursday night, making for lift tickets valid for use Monday through Friday.
Is a post-holiday getaway to Florida on your to-do list? Universal Orlando’s reduced rates through early February may help. Reserve a stay by Feb. 9 and visit by Feb. 13 for rates starting at $79 nightly. The Secret Season deal applies to a four-night stay at the Surfside Inn and Suites at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort, a new, affordable property. Prices at the resort’s prime value hotels (the Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Aventura Hotel) start at about $116 nightly.
It doesn’t get much better than a sun-soaked getaway in Barbados. Those who book a March visit before Jan. 31 at either Port Ferdinand Resort and Residences or its sister beachfront property, Saint Peters Bay Luxury Resort and Residences, can get a 45% discount on accommodations. To qualify, book a five-night stay for between March 1-31. Port Ferdinand is a full-service marina and yachting community, while Saint Peter’s Bay offers a beachfront setting and luxe villa accommodations.
Like other cruise lines, Holland America wants to make the most of wave season. Its View & Verandah promotion, available through Feb. 28, gives guests reserving Alaska Land + Sea trips a stateroom upgrade, free onboard spending cash, reduced fares for children, half-price deposits, and 10% off some shore activities. The offer includes prepaid onboard gratuities. The cruise line throws in a $50 drink card for each guest on suites booked by Jan. 17.
The luxurious Belize Collection, which includes five resorts, offers slashed prices on rooms Jan. 4 through March 31. The Lodge at Jaguar Reef, for instance, has discounts on various room categories at its chic beach location in Hopkins: The deluxe suite is $199 nightly instead of $399, while the Seafront Suite has been reduced to $259 nightly from $449. Colonial Beachfront rooms, normally $249, list for $175. At Almont Beach Resort at Jaguar Reef Seaview, a property focused on wellness and romance, deluxe rooms and suites have been reduced to $239 from $299, while Beachfront Spa rooms are a mere $195.
As part of its grand reopening, the Rosalie Bay Eco-Resort in Dominica cuts prices by 40% for those booking a room by Feb. 29 (and 30% off bookings March 1-May 31). The property, damaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017, has been remodeling and is preparing to welcome guests again. The cutting-edge resort, made up of 28 luxury rooms and suites with a riverfront spa, is powered by wind and solar energy and provides meals using ingredients from its organic garden.
The five-star Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda, known for its tennis, golf, and private beach club, has legions of fans. The luxe property invites new ones with a noteworthy sale: half-off room rates and a daily continental breakfast for bookings by Jan. 31 for visits anytime until Dec. 31. Even suites are included.

If exploring Canada and the Arctic is on your agenda, Adventure Canada offers 25% off bookings of two or more expeditions in the same calendar year on its Ocean Endeavor vessel — that’s a quarter off the price of each trip. Itineraries offered include the Heart of the Arctic; High Arctic Explorer; Mighty Saint Lawrence; and Atlantic Canada Explorer.
Book by Jan. 31 and experience an epic Balkan road trip through Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro this spring for 10% off. Marriott can make a dream of winter warmth slightly more affordable by offering $100 nightly credits at properties throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Dreams Curacao is on Piscadera Bay, a southern Caribbean island known for its Dutch influence and European architecture, and includes two white-sand beaches, a casino, and dive center. The property offers 40% off and $200 in resort coupons for bookings made by Feb. 25 for visits by April 11.
Enjoy an extended stay at one of North America’s top-rated ski resorts for nearly half off. Westin Resort and Spa Whistler offers 40% off stays of seven nights or more and 30% off stays of six nights or less. The deal is valid for visits Feb. 23 through April 30 that are booked by Jan. 31.
If an all-inclusive, adults-only, warm-weather vacation is your version of paradise, Haven Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa has all-inclusive vacation packages of up to 50% off, with promotional rates found as low as $354 nightly. The offer must be booked by March 31 and is valid for travel through May 31. The all-suite beachfront resort is 15 minutes south of Cancun’s international airport and includes restaurants, a spa, six bars, and three pools.
Score a bargain visiting Breckenridge, the legendary ski town at the base of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Pine Ridge Condominiums, popular among repeat visitors to the town, offers 20% off stays of between three to four nights through Feb. 13, or 25% off stays of five or more nights.
