If you've been thinking that fast-casual dining is starved for good breakfast spots, good news: IHOP has got you. The 63-year-old breakfast chain restaurant recently announced that it would finally debut its new restaurant concept, Flip'd, in New York City this July.
Unlike IHOP, Flip'd won't offer table service, instead opting to offer a menu full of to-go items like egg sandwiches, pancake bowls, baked goods, fresh juices, coffee, and more. The location will also offer "lunch and dinner items, including the brand's Ultimate Steakburgers and Buttermilk Crispy Chicken," according to a recent press release.

Flip'd customers can order from counter service or from digital kiosks, and guests will also be able to pre-order online for delivery or pick up in a designated to-go area.
"In looking at what exists today in terms of fresh, fast menu options — particularly at breakfast — there's still tremendous opportunity for growth," said Jay Johns, president of IHOP. "After talking extensively with consumers in large cities across the country, we designed Flip'd by IHOP to deliver on what folks told us they want and need ... in a fast-casual setting, putting an emphasis on quality ingredients, speed, to-go, and delivery."
