After six seasons and two movies, Sex and the City‘s Carrie Bradshaw will go down in history as one of — if not THE — biggest style icons in pop culture. Played by Sarah Jessica Parker, the New York City socialite and relationship columnist lived quite beyond her means by shopping for designer duds on the daily. Who could forget that Carrie, who never used her oven, filled it with her expensive shoes instead? Her jam-packed closet was another story.

Carrie’s most memorable outfits include her gorgeous wedding gown, shown in the first Sex and the City movie. Carrie scored the Vivienne Westwood gown from the designer herself after wearing it in a photoshoot. She paired the impossibly huge gown with a voluminous veil topped with a huge, turquoise feather — and heels that were sturdy enough to run down the street after Big. Carrie rocked this Dior news print gown with an uneven hem in Sex and the City 2. She paired the designer dress with strappy black heels and a small white purse.

One of Carrie’s most iconic looks! She strutted through NYC in his slinky, white dress topped with an oversized flower pinned to the neckline. The strapless number was decorated with gold leaves, as well. 

Besties Charlotte, Carrie, and Miranda coordinated in bright patterened dresses during a day in NYC. Carrie’s red flowered peplum midi was a standout.

Carrie dug out a tried-and-true outfit while cleaning her closet: the tutu and pink tank top she wore in the opening credits of Sex and the City. 

Carrie chases down Big after he didn’t show up to their wedding while wearing an incredible Vivienne Westwood gown. Her voluminous veil also featured a giant, turquoise feather.

Samantha, Carrie, and Charlotte arrive in Abu Dhabi for their vacation in Sex and the City 2. Carrie looked chic in a pastel pink caftan and metallic turban.

Carrie transformed menswear by rocking a pink striped button-down with a tiny cream vest and matching slacks. She paired it with black heels and a loose tie.

When Carrie went brunette, her style changed to grungy, suddenly. She rocked a plaid flannel jacket with a mismatched scarf and brown knee-high boots. 

Carrie looked gorgeous in a green floral dress, paired with a clashing green and white floral coat. She cinched the outfit with a studded belt while checking out her apartment with Big.

Carrie went full ’80s Madonna in this outfit, featuring fishnet arm warmers, a bustier layered over a petticoat, and plenty of studs. The giant bow in her hair topped it all off.
