While investing in new food storage containers might make your kitchen a less stressful place to cook and find items, there are a number of considerations when it comes to organization, safety, and other concerns. Read on for more tips that might help you decide which organization system to purchase.

As hard as we try, our container drawers and cabinets usually get a bit out of hand, especially as mismatched pieces overtake the matched. If you can, start with having your cabinet, countertop, and pantry storage containers in a matched set that allows empty containers and lids to nest within one another. Filled containers should be modular and stackable for better organization.

However, there are a number of other ways to keep things neat and organized, too. Use a plate rack, tension rods, bins, or drawer dividers to keep lids neat and separate from containers.
