Sure, some people prefer the new to the old, but the value of history cannot be denied. Due to the ravages of time, the economy, and more recently the pandemic, many American historic sites are struggling. Since 1988, the National Trust for Historic Preservation has been releasing an annual list, “America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places,” to raise awareness of threatened treasures.
