Remote Horizons

Working from home has its perks — no grueling commute, less spending on food, and, perhaps most important, relative safety at a time when coronavirus cases continue to tick upward nationwide. Recent data from Global Workplace Analytics shows that 82% of American office workers want to continue working from home, at least weekly, even after the pandemic is over. And some of the country's best-known companies plan to let employees do just that, according to the job-hunting site FlexJobs, whether for the next few months, through the end of the year, or indefinitely.

"It's not surprising that so many companies are considering staying remote even after it's safe to go back to the office," says Brie Weiler Reynolds, career development manager at FlexJobs. "The cost savings alone will be a huge help during uncertain economic times, and maintaining some remote work continuity will help companies be prepared for a future crisis." Here are 18 companies that not only are committed to remote work for the long haul, according to FlexJobs, but are currently hiring.
