Tiny Bubbles

In 2019, when White Claw seltzer became so popular that it spawned both memes and panic, few could have guessed how much the spiked seltzer market would explode. Now there are literally dozens of brands, from major players like Budweiser and Smirnoff on down to craft brewers and beyond. You won't find "the Claw" on this list or some other well-known brands, but you will find a bunch of options that will help you expand your hard seltzer repertoire over the summer. Happy sipping! Topo Chico Tangy Lemon Lime

$17 (12-pack) from Total Wine

This brand, which usually sticks to non-alcoholic sparkling water, marks parent company Coca-Cola's first foray into alcoholic beverages (at least in this country). We like the extra citrusy take of combining both lemon and lime into a hard seltzer, but the flavor isn't overwhelming.

Nothing quite says summer like a juicy peach, which is why we love this Texas-based brand's seltzer that also has notes of citrus and floral. It earns great reviews from sippers, who say it's not overly sweet.

Looking for a bit of a kick with your hard seltzer? This flavor comes in a variety pack with two other flavors: pineapple cayenne and watermelon chili. Colorado-based Oskar Blues Brewery, the maker of this line of spiked seltzers, calls its products "boozy sparkling water." This flavor was part of its "original mix pack," which comes with three others: classic lime, cucumber peach, and lemon agave hibiscus. The melon basil is the most refreshing and most original of the three — that is, without being just … not good (sorry, lemon agave hibiscus, but we're not fans). There's also a berry mix pack available.

Another spiked seltzer from a Colorado-based brewery — this one Boulder's Upslope — this line originally debuted with three flavors, including this one, plus juniper and lime, and pomegranate and acai. High Noon Watermelon

$10 (4-pack) from Total Wine

Also gluten-free, High Noon calls its spiked seltzers "sun sips," which is a nice little bit of marketing for summertime. Word-spinning aside, this flavor holds up to criticism: Total Wine reviewers give it 4.9 stars, with stamps of approval calling it "subtly sweet and so smooth" and "so fresh tasting and light." You can find High Noon's individual flavors in 4-packs, and variety packs with eight and 12 cans are also available.

Drizly

Social Hibiscus Cucumber Sparkling Sake

ABV: 4% | Calories: 88
$11 from Drizly

OK, so Social's beverages might not technically be spiked seltzers, but we'd be remiss not to recommend them — especially this flavor — anyway. Like hard seltzers, they're light and perfect for a summer day, and just as low in alcohol, sugar, and calories. And they're a nice break from the seltzer stuff when you're ready for something new.

Total Wine

Press Pomegranate Ginger

ABV: 4% | Calories: 110
$14 (variety pack) from Total Wine
Shop Now

The ginger in this spiked seltzer gives it just a bit of kick that cuts through its hints of sweetness, and many Press fans say this particular flavor is their favorite. It's got a lower ABV than many other seltzers. If seltzers can be uber-sessionable, this one's it. Press is based in Milwaukee.

Total Wine

Bravazzi Blood Orange Hard Italian Soda

ABV: 4.3% | Calories: 160
$9 (6-pack) from Total Wine
Shop Now

Another departure from typical hard seltzer, a Bravazzi can be your go-to canned cocktail when you're craving something much sweeter. It's got 18 grams of sugar (and 20 grams of carbs) so it's not as healthy as some of the others on this list, but it's a nice treat when the thought of yet another spiked seltzer bores you to tears.

Total Wine

Crook & Marker Blackberry Lime

ABV: 4% | Calories: 80
$14 (variety pack) from Total Wine

Crook & Marker's tagline is "a bubble above the bland," and it calls itself "a hard seltzer for people who don't like hard seltzer." Translation: It's sweeter than your average can of spiked bubbles. But it's sweetened using only natural sources — erythritol, a sugar alcohol that's also used in a lot of keto recipes. Not a fan of this flavor? Crook & Marker makes a number of others.

For one, the brand calls its product "hard-pressed juice" and explains its three-month process involves two rounds of fermentation before blending the alcohol with adaptogenic teas, herbs, and mushrooms. With the "Relax" flavor, expect notes of blueberry, lemon, lavender, valerian root, and more.
